Sacred space for connection
A safe, nurturing environment for women to gather, share stories, and be witnessed without judgment. These circles foster authentic connection and sisterhood.
A sacred space for women to connect, heal, and grow in the heart of North Canterbury.
Red Tent North Canterbury | Waitaha ki te Raki is here for you—the wahine of our beautiful region.
We meet monthly in circle on the third Sunday of each month at the warm and welcoming Pines Kairaki Community Centre.
These gatherings offer a sacred space to slow down and reconnect—with yourself, your community, and the wisdom we share as women. Come to enjoy laughter, love, support, and deep conversation among like-minded friends. Whether you feel called to share openly or prefer to simply soak in the sanctuary of the space, you are welcomed exactly as you are.
This is a co-created space, where the experiences, stories, and gifts of every woman are valued. At times, we also welcome guest speakers who bring their unique offerings to enrich our time together.
In addition to our regular monthly circles, you’ll also find occasional special events—ranging from intimate workshops to seasonal celebrations.
Red Tent North Canterbury – Waitaha ki te Raki, is more than just a gathering—it’s a living, evolving community that supports women through every stage of life. From adolescence to motherhood and into the wisdom of the senior years, we honour the full spectrum of womanhood through holistic education, connection, and care.
A circle of women, a space to belong.
The Red Tent is a modern women’s circle rooted in ancient traditions. It’s where community begins—not in noise and busyness, but in quiet moments of shared experience. Each circle is a co-created space where all voices matter, all feelings are welcome, and every woman is honoured for who she is. Together, we build trust, belonging, and deep sisterhood.

Through rituals, reflection, and community support, women are invited to reconnect with themselves, their cycles, and ancestral wisdom—promoting emotional and spiritual healing.
The Red Tent movement empowers women by encouraging self-expression, honoring feminine wisdom, and offering mutual support across all stages of life.
From one woman’s vision to a nationwide circle of connection.
Red Tent Aotearoa was founded by Jill Natalia, who was inspired to create inclusive, supportive spaces where women across Aotearoa could gather, connect, and grow. Rooted in the global Red Tent movement and adapted to honour the land, cultures, and communities of Aotearoa New Zealand, Red Tent Aotearoa offers a space for women to feel heard, supported, and empowered.
Since its beginning, Red Tent Aotearoa has grown into a nationwide network of facilitators and circles—each unique, but all held with care, respect, and a commitment to women’s wellbeing. Circles are open to anyone who identifies as a woman, welcoming all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences.
Every gathering is grounded in the values of connection, community, and deep listening. It’s about reclaiming time for yourself, sharing your truth in a safe space, and remembering that you’re not alone on your journey.
As the Founder of this branch I’m honoured to bring Red Tent to our local North Canterbury community.
The first time I attended a Red Tent circle, I was welcomed at the door with such genuine warmth that I immediately felt I had entered a sacred, nurturing space.
It was a place where I felt truly seen—where I could show up just as I was, knowing I’d be met with respect, acceptance, and compassion. That experience stayed with me. It showed me the profound power of being in a space where vulnerability is honoured and authenticity is embraced.
After that first experience, I knew this wasn’t something I wanted to keep to myself. I felt a deep calling to make this kind of space available for women here in Waitaha ki te Raki. I completed the Red Tent Aotearoa Facilitator Training so I could offer gatherings grounded in safety, connection, and shared empowerment—spaces where women can come home to themselves and one another.
As a proud resident of North Canterbury, I care deeply about the wellbeing of our community and believe every woman deserves access to spaces where she can feel heard, accepted, and empowered. By bringing women together across all walks of life, we strengthen not only ourselves, but the relationships, families, and communities we’re part of.
Red Tent is about building one another up. It’s about connection, healing, and the simple but powerful act of showing up—together.
I’d love to welcome you to a gathering soon—come as you are, there’s a place for you here.
Your invitation to connect, be seen, and belong.
